Ms. Barbara Logsdon is the CFO of Forsite Management Group. She was the Vice-President, CFO of Vantage Property Management for over 17 years. Ms. Logsdon has over 17 years’ experience in the affordable housing industry and over 35 years’ experience in financial accounting management.
Ms. Logsdon’s 35+ years of financial experience has been in several different areas of finance. She began her working career as an assistant to the Vice-President of a banking loan company, then as a licensed insurance agent with personal sales of over $1 million, specializing in nursing home insurances, to the executive assistant for a nursing home, specializing in Medicare, Medicaid and insurance accounting. From there she began her financial management career as the CFO of a multi-million-dollar manufacturer. Financial duties included overseeing all daily activities, human resources, investor & banking financial reporting, as well as annual budgeting.
Beginning her LIHTC career with Vantage Property Management, Ms. Logsdon started as the management company CFO and Human Resource manager for their multiple properties and employees. She oversaw and audited the entire finances of each location individually as well as the complete accounting of Vantage Property Management. As CFO Ms. Logsdon produced all of the required monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement reporting direct to the property’s general partners, investors & lenders. These financial statements accommodate all unique investor and lender requirements. Ms. Logsdon has established and upgraded the accounting and operation policies for Vantage Property Management. These policies and procedures have provided the properties with above budget profitability as well as to maintain their LIHTC compliance. Under her direction and supervision, Vantage continually receives excellent financial audit and LIHTC compliance reviews from the investors and the regulating agencies. The accounting policies & procedures she has written and implemented have been taken by outside auditors for their presentation to other clients. She oversees all of the operations of the management company, including the development of new properties to the management company. She has been instrumental in working with properties having financial difficulties, recognizing their problems and correcting them to bring the site to profitability. This is also to include property’s asset management and LIHTC compliance requirements. She has established strict guidelines for all LIHTC files under her management, as is shown in continued excellence in the state and owner file reviews. Ms. Logsdon’s LIHTC experience includes various types of programs to include management of a tax credit supportive living facility.
